AHRC, along with the other UK research councils, the Royal Society and the British Academy, is a subscribing UK member organisation of the European Science Foundation (ESF). ESF is committed to promoting high quality science at a European level and provides programme coordination and support for the networking of funded scientists. Research funding is provided by participating national funding organisations.
ESF runs conference series, annual competition for exploratory workshops, networking programmes and EUROCORES programmes. Further details can be found on the ESF website.

AHRC supports the UK component of transnational collaborative research (through ESF's Cooperation in European Research or EUROCORES) schemes and networking programmes.
