Block Grant Partnerships (BGPs)

The Block Grant Partnerships (BGP) are awards made to Research Organisations (RO) for an allocation of postgraduate studentships in specific subject areas and schemes - Masters or Doctoral.  The allocations are for five cohorts of students, commencing with students beginning their postgraduate study.

The studentship places will be advertised by the RO on an annual basis (which may vary from year to year depending on their allocation).  The RO will shortlist candidates based on open competition, who will then be nominated to the AHRC.  AHRC plays no part in the assessment and selection of students.  If you are a student, you need to contact the RO directly to find out about their selection process.  You can find out what organisations have a BGP award.
