The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) are pleased to announce a new funding opportunity for UK and Dutch researchers.
Joint applications for up to €40,000 can be submitted to fund networking or exchange activities relating to two thematic areas:
• Sustainable Communities in a Changing World
• Cultural Interactions of Research
Deadline for applications is 4pm (GMT) 13 December 2011
Further information on how to apply, including the definitions of theme and eligibility criteria, are available on the NWO website.
Please note: applications must be submitted via the NWO Iris system. This is a simpler system than JeS; however you do need to create an account with contact information before submitting an application. You need to create your account at least two days before the deadline in order to have enough time to then submit a proposal.
A short guide is available below and there is also full guidance available on the website and a dedicated helpdesk to assist applicants in the application process. The web address of the NWO electronic grant application system is https://www.iris.nwo.nl/iris/servlet/iris
Notes on using the NWO website:
• The term subsidy is used to define a specific ‘call’ or funding opportunity.
• All pages are available in English. If a page is in Dutch – look at the Red Banner near the top of the page, clicking on ‘English’ will provide you with the translation.
• The helpdesk hours are 11am-5pm Dutch time – this is 10am-4pm UK time.
