Arts, Humanities and Innovation Seminar: 24th November 2008

The Arts and Humanities Research and Innovation paper was launched at the AHRC Arts, Humanities and Innovation seminar on the 24th November 2008.  The aim of the seminar was to share the findings of three separate pieces of research, and to stimulate debate in this important policy area.  The audience included policymakers, academics and practitioners.  

Professor Stuart Cunningham, Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation, Queensland University of Technology gave a keynote address: How are the contributions of the arts and humanities faring in the evolution of national innovation systems? (79kb)

Hasan Bakhshi (NESTA) and Christopher Walker (AHRC) presented Arts and Humanities Research and Innovation. 

Professor Kate Oakley presented The Art of Innovation – Fine Art Graduates in the UK Economy.

Ellen Collins (MLA London) and Victoria Ward (Sparknow) presented Knowledge Transfer and Museums, Libraries and Archives.
