Free events to publicise the new European Commission socio-economic and humanities work programme

The Socio-economic sciences and Humanities (SSH) and the Science in Society (SiS) National Contact Points have organised a series of Regional Information Events to publicise their respective 2012 Work Programmes. These work programmes outline the strategic funding opportunities that will be available this year.

The commission have stated that humanities research is welcomed in all challenges and topics and have highlighted several opportunities in particular.

The calendar of events is as follows:

Wednesday 15 June 2011 – University of Bangor (Wales and the North West)

Thursday 16 June 2011 – University College London (London and the South East)

Tuesday 21 June 2011 – University of Bristol (South West)

Wednesday 22 June 2011 – University of Edinburgh (Scotland)

Thursday 23 June 2011 – University of Leeds (the North)

Tuesday 28 June 2011 – Queen’s University Belfast (Northern Ireland)

Wednesday 29 June – University of Birmingham (the Midlands)

The events are free but you need to register to attend.
