Making Connections: Knowledge Exchange and Arts and Humanities Research

 17 May 2011

Tuesday 17th May, London

This event included the launch of a new report on the interactions between arts and humanities researchers and the private, public and third sectors. Based on AHRC-commissioned research undertaken by the Centre for Business Research (CBR) at the University of Cambridge, the report addresses important questions on the pattern, scope and impact of the arts and humanities in knowledge exchange.

In their report, the CBR explores the range of diverse collaborative activities of these disciplines. They also reveal some of the challenges facing the arts and humanities and potential partners.

The report’s findings were presented by Professor Alan Hughes, Director of the Centre for Business Research, a copy of his presentation can be found below. The AHRC made a response, there was then be an open discussion of the issues raised in the report, a note of the discussion can be found below along with a copy of the report.
