This is a closed workshop for professionals with a specialist interest in counter-terrorism to explore new research findings.

Dr Basia Spalek of the School of Social Policy, Dr Salwa El Awa of the Department of Theology and Religion, and Dr Laura Zahra McDonald of the Department of Sociology at the University of Birmingham will be presenting their new research findings on partnership work between Muslim communities and the Police for the purposes of counter-terrorism.

As part of a wider collaborative research programme into religion and social justice, this exclusive workshop will bring together a grouping of policy makers, government officials and security practitioners with a specialist interest in this subject.
