HERA announce JRP Networking Scheme

 01 May 2008

The HERA network is happy to announce the opening of a HERA JRP Networking Scheme in the context of the preparatory and capacity building activities for the HERA Joint Research Programmes (HERA JRPs) on i) Cultural Dynamics and ii) Humanities as a Source of Creativity and Innovation.

The complete text of the HERA JRP Networking Call and a document containing answers to Frequently Asked Questions can be downloaded from the HERA website.

The purpose of this Networking call is to provide potential HERA JRP consortia with an opportunity to apply for a € 3.000 grant to organise a workshop for consortium members to meet and discuss their plans. Preparatory workshops must take place in the period September – December 2008. In this way the HERA network hopes to contribute to the building of potentially successful transnational collaborative research proposals to be submitted under the two HERA JRP themes in early 2009.

Please note that:

  • Proposals must be submitted before 1 PM CET on June 2nd 2008 via the ESF electronic submission system which can be accessed via the HERA website.
  • Applying for a HERA Networking Grant is not a prerequisite for applying for a HERA Joint Research Programmes grant.
  • The composition of the consortium applying for the HERA Networking Grants may differ from the consortium applying for one of the HERA JRP Collaborative Research Project grants next year.
  • Only one application may be submitted per person; researchers can only be named in one proposal.
  • HERA Network Board members may not be part of a consortium applying for a HERA JRP Networking grant.
  • A HERA JRP consortium must consist of at least three partners from three different countries participating in the HERA JRP common pot, i.e. all main applicants must reside in different eligible HERA JRP countries. All main applicants must be eligible for their respective national HERA partner councils.
