For the last two years Christopher Redgate, in collaboration with Howarth of London, has been redesigning the key-work of the oboe to meet the demands of the most technically challenging music of today and to expand its potential.

This launch event features the first two works in a series of AHRC-funded commissions for the new oboe, and discussion with the composers.
