Crime and Punishment - Fourth AHRC Funded Colloquia

 19 Sep 2011

19-20 September 2011
Cambridge, Robinson College

Social control is the most popular area of canon law studies amongst medievalists at large. Here too, the changes from the eleventh century onwards were dramatic. This colloquium will cover the spectrum from the individual case (penance, excommunication) to the collective (interdict). The colloquium is aimed chiefly at postgraduate students and early career medievalists.
