Remix Cinema is a two-day AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council) funded workshop exploring the role of audio-visual remix practices in contemporary digital culture, organised by the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford.

In a live webcasted mashup performance Breakfast Party at my Studio, Dan Untitled examines themes of awakenings, as the sun is setting in New Zealand and dusk is falling upon the Modern Art Oxford audience. Artist Henry Stead of London Poetry Systems will perform Attis, a cross-media AV translation of the Roman poet Catullus’ 63rd poem, followed by live works by other LPS artists. Berlin-based musician and filmmaker Zan Lyons performs a live cinema act using viola, laptop and effects pedals. Digital culture scholars Daniel Villar Onrubia and Isis Amelie Hjorth will also offer a brief introduction to Remix Culture.
