Small is Beautiful? is a collaborative documentary project on the making and mending of everyday objects in the South West. Researchers Caitlin DeSilvey and James Ryan and photographer Steve Bond have been photographing shop interiors and interviewing proprietors about work practices to create this travelling exhibition.
Join us for the opening of the exhibition on Friday 23 September, 6-8pm, and an open discussion about the value of these small, independent businesses to our communities, with the project team and some of the proprietors involved.
Funded by Exeter University and the Arts & Humanities Research Council.
