Postgraduate Conference, Swansea University, 3-5 July 2009
Postgraduate students studying Germany and Austria pre and post-1945 are invited to attend this conference to be held at Swansea University, 3-5 July 2009. The conference aims to explore the social and political transformations experienced by Germany and Austria during the period of National Socialist rule and quadripartite occupation. It will provide an opportunity to encourage comparisons to be drawn between the two countries and to consider the wider context of this period and subsequent legacy for Germany and Austria. This is a unique opportunity for postgraduates from the UK and Europe to meet, network, and exchange ideas in a friendly and supportive environment. Keynote speeches from leading scholars in the field will complement the panels and stimulate discussion.
