Media and the Inner World (MiW) is funded by the AHRC Research Network award scheme and will run from February 2009 until February 2011. MiW is directed by: Dr Caroline Bainbridge (Principal Investigator) Reader in Visual Culture, Roehampton University and Dr Candida Yates (Co-Investigator) Senior Lecturer in Psychosocial Studies, UEL.

Media and the Inner World brings together academics, psychoanalysts, psychotherapists and media figures for a series of discussions about the role of emotion and ideas of therapy in popular culture in the UK.

Event Speakers include:
Dr Claire Pajaczkowska (film director, academic, Royal College of Art)
Margaret Matheson (film producer, founder of Bard Entertainments)
Dr Nicola Diamond (psychoanalytic psychotherapist, academic The Women's Therapy Centre)
