Communication of decisions

Only the Chair of Council or Chief Executive of the Art and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), or those members of staff authorised to act on their behalf, may communicate statements on behalf of the AHRC.

In reporting AHRC business and recommendations they will take special care to keep confidential any part played in discussion by individual members, in order to maintain the convention that any decision is reached collectively by the whole Council or committee.

As a representative of AHRC any requests for information or for explanation of how particular decisions were reached should be resisted, and such requests referred instead to the Chief Executive.
