Collaborative Doctoral Awards

Collaborative Doctoral Awards (CDAs) provide funding for doctoral studentship projects, proposed by a university based academic, to work in collaboration with an organisation outside of higher education.  They are intended to encourage and develop collaboration and partnerships providing opportunities for doctoral students to gain first-hand experience of work outside the university environment and enhance the employment-related skills and training a research student gains during the course of their award.

ProtoPublics 'Sprint' Workshop: Prototyping Design Orientated Cross Disciplinary Research

We invite researchers from any background to join us in a two-day ‘sprint’ workshop which will bring together practitioners and researchers from the arts and humanities and other domains, who share an interest in using academic research to address collective and public challenges.

Call for proposals to present events at the Cheltenham Science and Literature Festivals

Closing Date: 09/02/2015

To mark its tenth anniversary in 2015, the AHRC is looking to extend its partnership with Cheltenham Festivals by inviting applications from researchers to present their research at one of a series of four engaging public events at the Times Cheltenham Science Festival and the Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival in 2015. One event will run at the Science Festival, and three at the Literature Festival.

Workshop on Cultural Heritage and Rapid Urbanisation in India

The AHRC is pleased to announce a call for researchers to attend a workshop on ‘Cultural Heritage and Rapid Urbanisation in India’. Organised in partnership with the Indian Council for Historical Research (ICHR), with additional support from the British Library, the event will bring together academic experts from both countries to address an issue of growing importance as India seeks to preserve and position its rich cultural history within the context of an emerging urban landscape.
