Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre CallReturn to opportunities
Statements of Intent are now invited from teams that intend to apply to host the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre, part of the Creative Industries Clusters Programme.
The Creative Industries Clusters Programme, led by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and funded through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, is an ambitious research and development investment to establish up to eight Creative R&D Partnerships within existing creative clusters across the UK and a Policy and Evidence Centre, which will be independent but complimentary to the work of the Partnerships.
A maximum of £8m will go toward the PEC, including an AHRC contribution of £6m from July 2018 to March 2023. The Centre will offer independent analysis on the creative industries for businesses and policy makers, conduct and stimulate research, identify research gaps and co-ordinate data and evidence on the key challenges for the sector.
The first step is to submit a Statement of Intent, proposals will then be assessed through a full application process. Applicants must submit a Statement of Intent by Monday 11 December at 4pm in order to be eligible. The deadline for full applications is Thursday 8 February at 4pm and applicants may now apply through Je-S.
There are three documents to support the proposals to this call; the Call Specification, Scope Document, (PDF, 169KB) and report of the AHRC Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre workshop. (PDF, 159KB)
The Call Specification contains information on the Policy and Evidence Centre only and how to apply; you are advised to read this in conjunction with the Scope Document, which sets out the Programme-level aims and ambitions. Please read both documents thoroughly before submitting an application.
The AHRC also commissioned the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) to facilitate a workshop on behalf of the CICP in September to discuss the focus of the Policy and Evidence Centre. A summary of the discussions at this workshop have also been provided above as further information for applicants. A live FAQ document will follow shortly.
